IT support intern


As an IT Support Intern, you will be part of the Technology Operations team and you will get heavily involved in level-one technical support by addressing walk-ups for our customers. Your other activities will include reading, reviewing, and improving where relevant the current support process documents in our knowledge base (i.e. Atlassian) and using it to resolve first-line support cases

Your mission at Irdeto

  • Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (to be considered for the internship, you need to be enrolled in a university/other educational institution).
  • You are available for an internship for 6-12 months.
  • You are available at least 4 days a week.
  • Some experience with installation of Enterprise Desktops (Windows 10, Mac OSX) and related software packages (i.e. Antivirus, Adobe, Office 365).
  • Some knowledge of how to install apps on the iOS phone (i.e. e-mail clients, business apps).
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Some experience with a scripting language (i.e. Python) is a plus.
  • Dare to be curious, creative and provide innovative solutions by thinking outside-the-box.
  • Quick learner and adopter of new systems, platforms, and tools.
  • Pro-active, quality-minded with a positive attitude; you have great interpersonal skills and work well with others.
  • Good English communication skills (both verbal and written).

How you can add value to the team:

  • How to fix both Windows and MacOSX desktop support issues.
  • How to deploy Enterprise-based Laptops and device management using Intune autopilot and Jamf.
  • How to deliver the appropriate IT resources for each individual or department's needs, whilst staying within budget.
  • How to troubleshoot, refactor and continuously improve the quality of technical support/assistance.
  • How to work on an IT service-management ticketing system.
  • How to troubleshoot our unified communications suite i.e. Zoom Rooms and Desktop and our Windows server i.e. ActiveDirectory.
  • How to work with other Technology Operations teams such as systems administration and networking.
