Medical ML/AI software developer in the centre of Amsterdam

We are looking for a talented and driven software/machine learning engineering intern to work on our machine learning infrastructure. You will be working with the founding tech team on infrastructure for data engineering, training, and deployment of machine learning models and their practical use through prototyping UI for the first deep-learning tool for Electronic Health Records.

About us

Healthplus.ai builds, validates and scales artificial intelligence tools that aid health care providers to move from data to insight, to a more proactive treatment. We partner with hospitals and patients to deliver better outcomes, more affordable care and a better patient and HCP experience.

PERISCOPE is one of our first tools. It accurately predicts infections after surgery 5 days prior to the average diagnosis and plugs into the hospital’s electronic health records. This creates a longer window for the medical team to personalize care, upgrade monitoring for the right patient, and decrease infections and sepsis. We currently work with over 20 hospitals spread across several countries and we have partnered with several major healthcare IT players. In the coming year, we are looking at getting CE marked, finishing several clinical trials, growing sales to pass $1M and start exponential growth with our shared-value business model.

About you

You are interested in the newest technologies and applying them to good. You are proactive, intelligent, independent in your work and collaborative when brainstorming or helping others. You like to work hard and learn in a small start-up that is growing. You can (quickly learn to) find solutions to problems and/or suggest a way how to avoid them. You can find the right trade-off between an elegant solution and practical implementation. You can also communicate complex concepts and have the patience for documenting your solutions.
