Enza Zaden is an international organisation with offices within and outside Europe. As a result, we are dealing with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG in Holland), which has been applicable since 2018. This means that the same privacy legislation applies throughout the European Union (EU). In the run-up to the GDPR (AVG), a lot of work was done by drawing up a processing register, concluding processing agreements and implementing the necessary measures in the organization with regard to the IT systems within Enza Zaden. Our Legal, Security and IT teams work together on this. In the meantime, we see that in countries outside Europe, privacy legislation is increasingly being introduced that has many similarities with the GDPR (AVG). Enza Zaden likes to ad here to the rules, which is why this is the time for an overall check and revision and addition where necessary. If you like to follow the rules and you have affinity with (IT) security the Privacy Officer and the Security Officer will quide you during this internship.
You may support us with the following tasks:

• Reviewing the management of privacy processes and products (How we do it; What do we do well; What could be better)
• Determining the impact of non-European regulations on our privacy management. Think of data protection, the processing register, responsibilities and retention periods.
• Inventory and impact of local systems at subsidiaries, within and outside Europe.
• Inventory and impact of the application of retention periods in IT systems.

Job requirements
For this internship we are looking for a hbo student, preferably in the direction of Law or Business IT & Management or Business Information.
You are proactive, disciplined and careful. You work well together with colleagues. Since you will have a lot of contact with foreign branches, you will have an excellent command of the English language.

In short you:

• are working on one of the aforementioned HBO programmes;
• have affinity with privacy aspects and data protection within an organization;
• has a very good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
• are enterprising & proactive, pragmatic and accurate;
• will be available from january 2022 for an internship assignment of at least 5 months.
