Internship Business Intelligence & Analyses


During your internship, you will conduct multiple analyses and set up various KPI reports, where you will be involved from beginning to end.

Job Purpose

You will be a member of the Product Strategy, Insights & Planning team within the Product Development Department, where you will be working with a team of three Product Insights (senior) managers.

The Product Development Department is responsible for the deployment of new products as well as the development of existing products (e.g. Multiscreen app, Smart Wi-Fi App, 1Gigabit speed, Modems, User Interface on the Setup boxes, etc.) to improve overall customer experience and performance. The Product Insights team provides the Products Development Department with relevant insights on their products’ usage from various angles, with a key focus on customer usage to identify opportunities to improve product performance as well as customer experience.

This is done by creating monthly reports with a standard set of KPIs (like a monthly number of users of various products, penetration, app ratings, customer experience ratings, etc.) and one-off analyses on relevant topics (e.g. How do customers use the voice control button on the remote? Which features in the Multiscreen app are the most popular and why? Which features on our User Interface should be continued and discontinued in the next release and why? How do customers rate our apps, what do they comment about most, and what should be improved to create a better experience? How do customers experience our products, what is their feedback and how can that improve our product?).

During your internship, you will conduct multiple analyses and set up various KPI reports, where you will be involved from beginning to end, which starts with data collection, cleaning & structuring, followed by analyzing data to find insights, recommendations, and next steps and end with presenting these findings to (executive) stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data requirements from stakeholders (product owners) to set up a monthly KPI report and/or conduct deep-dive analyses that meet the needs of the stakeholders.

  • Collect data from different sources like Adobe, Grafana, QlikView, etc.

  • Ensure the data flows are automated and of good quality, by testing and validating the data, by using Excel, SQL, and/or Python.

  • Analyse the data; identify underperformance areas and make recommendations to show improvements that lead to practical & valuable next steps.

  • Visualize the KPIs and analyses by using a visualization tool as well as PowerPoint.

  • Present your findings to relevant forums to product owners and (executive) stakeholders.

What you will gain:

  • Microsoft office tools like (Advanced) Excel (incl. Thinkcell) and PowerPoint;

  • Visualization tools like Adobe, Power BI, or QlikView;

  • Presenting and storytelling skills (within PowerPoint).

Knowledge & Experience

  • A study background in business & economy, ICT with minor in Business IT & Management (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI) or another related field;

  • Proficient writing and speaking in English;

  • Basic scripting knowledge (SQL and/or Python);

  • Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Interest to develop a deep understanding of product roadmaps, data modelling, and analysis;

  • Interest in evaluating data using analytical and logical reasoning to deliver insightful findings, trends, or conclusions;

  • Integrity, discretion, and ability to work within deadlines in a complex, international environment;

  • Persuasive and compelling communicator;

  • Pragmatic and reliable, with a high degree of accuracy;

  • Ability to be supportive, consultative, and collaborative.

Practical requirements: To get the most out of your internship we’d like you to be in the office twice a week at a minimum. Application deadline: 30th November with interviews being held in December. Ideally, we would like to have you start in February with some flexibility.
