Loreweaver is pioneering an on-device narrative engine that acts as a digital game master, orchestrating dynamic, branching tales without backend limits on inference length. Interns are empowered to:
Pick your focus: choose any problem space within our stack: graph-based memory, latency-optimized decoding, robust safety evaluators, emotion perception, edge-optimized deployment, and more. You can choose your own area of research and development, as long as it is ambitious and useful to us both.
End-to-end ownership: from surveying the latest research and prototyping, through benchmarking on live game data, to merging production-ready code or authoring a research write-up.
Team collaboration: work alongside our architects and engineers, contribute to our open-source repo, and showcase your results in demos, final reports, or conference submissions.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI systems while helping us realize a truly offline-capable, limitless storytelling engine.
You’ll be paired 1:1 with one of our senior mentors (Torrance McCants, Ben Haanstra, John Lewis or Jon Heiner):
- Host weekly check-ins to refine your reading list and project charter.
- Provide targeted code reviews, architectural guidance, and metric design.
- Support you in defining success criteria and preparing your final report or paper draft.
