INTK is a young and ambitious studio based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. We are specialised in developing digital strategies for cultural organisations.

We work with several museums, theaters, film houses, castles, libraries, festivals, etc. Some of the cultural organisations we work with are: NEMO Science Museum, Stadsschouwburg Utrecht, Film Theater Hilversum, Loevestein Castle, Bibliotheek Utrecht, Le Guess Who festival, etc.

Our mission is to change how people relate to culture. We are inspired by the transformation that happened in the sport sector. Forty years ago, very few people sported. Today, many people dedicate several hours a week to sport. We would like to bring a similar change to the cultural sector. Our goal is to encourage people who love culture to engage in cultural activities on a weekly basis. For example, we want to encourage people that love cinema and rock concerts to go every week to the cinema and once a month to a rock concert.

We are in the initial phase of developing a platform/app that could work like a sports personal trainer but then for culture. The app encourages people in the Netherlands to go to cultural activities on a weekly basis. Users can buy tickets directly via the app and we will be able to offer special discounts for heavy users. In case we manage to realise our mission, the future would be a world where most people do at least one cultural activity per week. We work with great content
We love beautiful content. Cultural organisations have amazing audio/visual material. Just think about the amazing material that museums, theaters, cinemas, festivals have. We never use Lorem Ipsum neither stock images because cultural organisation always provide amazing material upfront.

We work for a large audience
We love to craft perfect software and we love to learn you how to do that as well. What is the point to sweat for a project that is only used by a few people? Cultural organisations have a large audience. The software you will make is going to be used by thousands of people every day.

We work for great clients
Maybe you where thinking of working for a well known advertisement agency. It will pay well and your colleagues are fun. But does it deliver a good story? Can you imagine yourself in a party telling your friends about that new project you are working for this big multinational? Concert halls and museums are easy to relate to. Everybody knows Van Gogh and should visit his museum.

We are looking for a talented Software Development intern that is eager to learn and eventually can help us implement the technologic infrastructure necessary to run our start up. You should have a passion for, or the willingness to learn Python/JavaScript/CSS. We can offer you a decent Dutch 'stagevergoeding'. All we need from you is a small text why you want to work with us and what it is that you want to learn.
