In this internship you will your technical and business economics skills to build/maintain a dashboard that provides insight into costs and on the basis of which initiatives can be taken to save costs in Azure Cloud.
That is what you will use your talents for as an Azure Cloud Engineer Intern at Van Lanschot Kempen. You will help us in gaining and maintaining control over costs in Azure.
You are also busy with:
- Cost analysis: You should be able to analyze and understand the costs Azure resources. This includes identifying cost items, tracking cost patterns and identifying opportunities for optimization;
- Budget management: You must be able to set and manage budgets for Azure resources. This includes setting budget limits, monitoring budget overruns and taking measures to keep costs within limits;
- Resource usage optimization: You should be able to optimize the usage of Azure resources to save costs. This includes identifying unused or underutilized resources, justifying resource usage, and implementing cost-saving measures such as using reserved instances or enabling auto-scaling.
- Reporting and communication: You should be able to generate clear and concise reports on the costs and usage of Azure resources. This includes communicating the cost information to stakeholders and advising management on cost optimization;
- Technical knowledge of Azure: You must have a good knowledge of the Azure services and functionalities you manage. This includes understanding Azure resource billing, knowing the different pricing models, and being able to identify potential cost savings.

Talents that you use to guide our customers in a constantly changing world every day. By thinking out of the box and asking questions. And all will be well if you are also able to explain complex cost information in an understandable way and advise management on cost optimization.
In addition:
- You are a bachelor's or master's student in a technical or business economics degree;
- You have a good knowledge of PowerBI;
- You are able to analyze data and information, identify patterns and trends. This allows you to understand the costs of Azure resources and identify optimization opportunities;
- You have technical knowledge such as a good understanding of Azure services and functionalities. This includes understanding the billing of Azure resources, knowing the various pricing models, and being able to navigate through the Azure portal;
- You are available for at least 5 months for 32 to 40 hours a week;
- You have a good mastery of English, both oral and written.
