Mobile development grad internship at iZiViD (React Native)

Join a pre-seed startup building iZiViD for distance parents and kids. Our mobile app is child-side only today. You help turn it into a complete, usable iOS and Android product in React Native. We coach student teams from HvA, UvA, and HU. Remote, full-time, unpaid.

About iZiViD

We build iZiViD for divorced and long-distance parents. We turn video calls into immersive shared experiences. Think co-watching, drawing, and personal media. Also think YouTube, Netflix, and guided AR and VR activities.

Who we are
We are a pre-seed startup. We exist for about one and a half years. We often work with students and trainees. We built with teams from HvA, UvA, and Hogeschool Utrecht. So you get clear structure and close mentoring.

Status quo
Our MVP web app is about to go live. We also have a basic mobile app version. On mobile, we only have the child side today. So the mobile app needs major development in the core. It also needs UX and UI to be designed and refined. You will build, test, and iterate fast.

Your graduation assignment:
You join the existing mobile repo. Then we define a clear scope together. Next, you implement core mobile flows. You build screens and reusable UI components. You improve usability through fast iteration. You test on real iOS and Android devices. You document decisions and results. Finally, you defend your work in your thesis.

You can work solo or in pairs.

Example focus areas (choose one main track)

Track A: Mobile foundation
You set up navigation and screen structure. Then you create reusable UI components and patterns. Next, you improve state management and data flow.

Track B: Parent-side UX and UI build-out
You design and implement the missing parent-side screens. Then you define clear flows for onboarding and session setup. Next, you refine the UI for speed, trust, and ease of use.

Track C: Mobile quality and delivery
You strengthen iOS and Android build routines. Then you improve QA checks and crash visibility. Next, you improve performance on mid-range devices.

What you will do
You translate goals into user stories. Then you design a technical approach. Next, you implement in TypeScript. After that, you test and debug. You document decisions and results. You demo progress every sprint.
