Backend Developer Intern (Full-Stack Optional) 

Location: Netherlands, Alkmaar  -  Duration: 5–6 months  -  Start date: Flexible  -  Education level: HBO/WO — Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 

What you'll do 

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# / .NET (latest) within a microservices architecture 

• Work with NoSQL and MSSQL Server databases and our ORM layers 

• Database support and analysis: write queries, design schemas, and optimize performance 

• Contribute to our feature-development (API services, Service bus handlers, Workflow stack) 

• Collaborate on API design and our integration stack with internal and external systems 

• (Full-Stack track) Build and connect Angular front-end components to backend services 

• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions 

• Help out in software testing/QA activities 

What we're looking for 

• Solid foundation in C#, Java, or similar OOP language 

• Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts 

• Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals 

• (Full-Stack track) Basic experience with Angular, React, or Vue 

• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and ship working software 

• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
