Location: Netherlands, Alkmaar (hybrid)  -  Duration: 5–6 months  -  Start date: Flexible  -  Education level: HBO/WO — Software Engineering, Information Science, or related field 

What you'll do 

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for our web applications 

• Identify, document, and track bugs using structured issue reporting 

• Contribute to building and maintaining our automated test suite (Selenium, Playwright, Postman API testing or similar tools we use) 

• Participate in sprint demos and provide quality feedback on new features 

• Help define and improve QA processes, test coverage metrics, and regression strategies 

• Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to ensure quality from design to release 

What we're looking for 

• Understanding of software testing principles (test levels, techniques, defect lifecycle) 

• Interest in test automation and scripting (C#, TypeScript, or Python) 

• A detail-oriented and analytical mindset — you notice what others miss 

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows is a plus 

• ISTQB Foundation knowledge is a plus but not required 

• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
