Location: Netherlands, Alkmaar  -  Duration: 5–6 months  -  Start date: Flexible  -  Education level: MBO4/HBO — System & Network Administration, IT Service Management, or related field 

What you'll do 

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to the internal teams (hardware, software, accounts, SaaS application management) 

• Assist in managing and monitoring our Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage) 

• Help maintain Active Directory / Entra ID, user provisioning, and access policies 

• Support & automate monitoring, Threat intelligence activities and uptime management 

• Maintain and optimize IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides 

• Contribute to security hardening and compliance tasks (ISO 27001 context) 

What we're looking for 

• Basic knowledge of Ubuntu/Debian, Windows Server, networking (Wifi, routing, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), and cloud concepts 

• Basic knowledge of security & communication concepts (email, email security) 

• Interest in gaining knowledge of Docker & containerization concepts 

• Interest in Azure cloud services and willingness to learn hands-on 

• Familiarity with ticketing systems and structured problem-solving (ITIL) 

• A service-oriented mindset; you enjoy helping people solve technical problems 

• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus 

• Scripting skills (Powershell/Python) and GIT experience are a plus
