Who are “we”?

Iceberg Interactive is an international video games publisher located in Haarlem. We work closely with development teams from all over the world and sell our games predominantly through digital platforms, including Steam, EPIC Games Store, PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, and Nintendo eShop.

About the position

As a Game Testing Intern, you’ll work closely with our Producer and test games primarily for PC. You’ll also help the team review potential new games for our future lineup. This position gives you a great impression of the games industry's production, development, and publishing processes.

Some of the things you’ll be helping out with:

  • Test games, DLCs, patches, and updates

  • Help review potential new games

  • Writing short assessments of in-development builds and milestones

  • Tracking and documenting bugs

  • Brainstorm about solutions to game design problems

  • Play a bunch of games

What we’re looking for:

  • You’re a second- or third-year HBO student. We don’t do graduation internships. 

  • You play games. Indie, AAA, casual; the wider your field of interest, the better.

  • You know your way around Steam.

  • You’re interested in the industry behind the games: the people, the business, and how games are made.

  • You work accurately, show initiative, and have an opinion, and aren’t afraid to share it.

  • You have good written and conversational English.

  • Your educational direction is Game Design/Development/Interaction Design/Media Studies, or anything relevant to this internship and company.

  • You are available five days a week (40 hours) during your internship (with the exception of a day here and there that you need to report back to school).

  • You reside in the Randstad. We want our interns to come to the office during the internship; we don’t offer a remote internship.
