Video Game Marketing Internship

You’ll help the marketing & community manager promote our indie game catalog by executing social media strategies across multiple platforms, managing and planning social posts, and en with our communities across the world! You will be working closely with the developers and production department to brainstorm, play games, and understand how indie games are developed and marketed.

If you enjoy the hectic world of indie games, the game industry, or creative marketing, and you are looking for a five-month internship, this might be for you!

In this role, you’ll help the marketing & community manager promote our indie game catalogue by executing social media strategies across social media platforms & game platforms, manage and plan social posts, and engage with our communities across the world! You will be working closely with the developers and production department to brainstorm, play games, and understand how indie games are developed and marketed.

Your day will include

  • Implementing and optimizing our marketing strategies

  • Creating posts and content based on events, updates, and game releases

  • Researching social trends, competitors, and best practices

  • Executing deliverables within the content calendar

  • Testing games, updates, and events before and after release

  • Proactively sourcing content creators to collaborate with for our games

  • Keeping the community engaged by being present on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (now X), YouTube, Discord, and Steam

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience making content 

  • Experience with Quality Assurance before publishing content: caption length, call-to-action, hashtags, preview on the feed, etc.

  • Experience with editing videos and content in Adobe Creative Cloud, Capcut, and Canva

  • Interested in learning more about the world of (indie) games and their communities

  • Comfortable with filming videos about our games or brand

  • The ability to write and create without having to lean on tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok

Requirements

  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken & written)

  • You need to be able to travel to Haarlem on a sustainable, daily basis. 

  • You are currently registered as a student at an accredited University (WO) or University of Applied Sciences (HBO) in the Netherlands 

What we offer
